Contract
1. SELLER makes no guarantees, expressed or implied, any guarantees to reproduction, overall show quality, milk production, etc. It is hard to determine a Kid’s potential as a show prospect while it is still young. We offer the best quality we can, and we price our animals accordingly.
2. We encourage all buyers to have their animal inspected by their own veterinarian within ONE WEEK of sale date if there is a concern for their health. We do not offer any health or wellness guarantees after the animal has left our property, since we cannot control the management of said goat(s) once it leaves our farm. We encourage buyers to understand that travel and change is stressful to goats, and buyer is encouraged to make environment and feed transitions slowly to make it easier for the animal. The BUYER will receive a full health sheet on their animal, as well as precautions to look for with their new baby.
3. SELLER guarantees goat(s) is healthy at the time of sale, and BUYER will review the condition and sign a statement of health on the goat. BUYER is welcome to have a veterinarian examine the animal, at BUYERS expense. BUYER may decline at any time to not purchase the animal. We will not allow an animal to leave the farm if we feel it is not ready (sick/taking longer to be weaned/other reasons). If a goat falls ill before they leave with you, we will reschedule the pick-up date.
4. Bozarth’s Barefoot Farm reserves the right to retain any kid from any breeding, regardless of waitlist.
5. We reserve the right to refuse to sell an animal at our discretion.
6. Reservations require a Non-Refundable* deposit of $50.00 per goat once the kid is born, accompanied by this signed contract. Pre-born reservations are free to make.
7. If the BUYERS first choice kid is not available, BUYER has the option to choose a kid from another breeding or roll over to the next year.
8. Reserved kids must be picked up within 7 days of the determined date of sale. Reserved goats not picked up within 7 days of the agreed upon sale date will be charged $5 per week for goat board to be paid by the BUYER before the animal leaves the farm. If said goats are not picked up within 14 days of the agreed upon sale date, or fails to pickup a second time, the BUYERS reservation will be forfeited, including all monies paid, and said goat(s) will be retained or placed back up for sale.
8. SELLER promises to contact BUYER before boarding fees is added, and to stay connected with BUYER regarding pickup and possession.
9. BUYER is responsible for transportation of the animal, unless otherwise agreed upon with SELLER.
10. In the event of loss or injury of the animal prior to the day of sale, SELLER agrees to refund BUYER of ALL costs.
11. Until full payment is received, reserved goats will not leave Bozarth’s Barefoot Farm for any reason.
12. All dam raised buck and doe kids will be disbudded, tattooed, vaccinated twice for CD&T before leaving the farm at 10 weeks old.
13. All wethers will be disbudded, Tattooed, vaccinated for CD&T, and castrated before leaving Bozarth’s Barefoot Farm at 10 weeks old.
14. All ADGA registration/applications will be provided to the BUYER at time of pickup from Bozarth’s Barefoot Farm.
Transportation
BUYER will not be able to leave with their animals if proper transportation is not provided. During wintry weather, ALL goats should be inside a vehicle/trailer away from the wind. During summer months, a cage of some kind must be provided to secure the animal if animal(s) are riding in a pickup truck bed, and during long trips, water should be provided.
Sale Policy of a Goat Kid Not Yet Born
This part of the contract is for holding a goat not yet born.
In the case for holding the goat not yet born, no deposit is required, however we request that potential buyers look over this contract, and then contact us with the preferred pairings desired. When the BUYER preferred pairing produce what they want, a $50 deposit will then be required to hold an animal of their choosing, along with a signed copy of this contract. That animal will no longer be advertised as available and will be reserved for the buyer the deposit was made by.
*-refunds will include: if an animal dies prior to pickup, BUYER will be refunded their deposit and all other monies paid
